I love basics — i love the pieces that can go from day to night, beach to dinner, and everywhere in between. One of the key basic pieces every woman needs is a simple black dress. This one, shown below, I found recently for $20 at Old Navy. The tank maxi dress in black. No frills, no huge investment – but here’s how I take it to the slopes this winter and to the beach this spring, and back to fall…(and not in that order, because as you may know if you live in Northern California, I never quite know what season I’m waking up to these days!)
